Ubuntu MKE Donates to Scholarship Programs in Milwaukee & Africa
Ubuntu MKE donates 100% of the support received, after deducting any fundraising expenses incurred by Yollande, to fund scholarships in Milwaukee primarily to African refugees and in various countries in Africa through religious organizations including the Jesuits, Capuchin Brothers and local Christian missions. Ubuntu MKE is part of Yollande's charitable organization, the Milwaukee African Women Association, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and serves as the fiscal agent.
Having been a scholarship recipient, Yollande knows first hand the generational impact and opportunity given to a hardworking, deserving child.
